Saturday

Lazy Saturday, no rush, no work, no worries.. I love days like this!
Woke up without any alarm, needed some hot green tea and went for a long walk to the lake.
It was grey, a little bit chilly day but I took my camera with me just in case I will capture some beautiful colors of the fall... I didn't feel much inspiration today, but the fresh air, lake and the peacefulness in me was all I really needed.

Now off to finish reading a book and continue watching Grace and Frankie on Netflix.
Life is good!

Sleepless nights

     Tonight is another one of my sleepless nights... I usually try to welcome them with open heart and positive mindset,even though they are exhausting me, they are still mine..  When it happens I make big cup of my favorite coco, add a little cinnamon to it, sometimes even honey.
     I try to look for inspiration during the night hours, a poem, song or a painting.. I try to find myself through art, find what speaks to me, makes me feel something.
Tonight I came across this poem by Brian Patten:

I have changed the numbers on my watch,
And now perhaps something else will change.
Now perhaps
At precisely 2a.m.
You will not get up
And gathering your things together
Go forever.
Perhaps now you will find it is
Far too early to go,
Or far too late,
And stay forever

KEEPING THE MAGIC IN MY LIFE

To take my time, not to rush all the time,to take it all in... All this beauty form everyday life, the inspiration , the words...the magic..

One of my favorite ways to bring back some magic into my everyday life is to call off work, take this whole day all to myself  (must be during the week not the weekend) and wonder museums, go the art gallery,  watch a fun movie in the movie theater all by myself.. Buy beautiful roses ..My last trip to Art Institute I came across little lecture about ancient Egypt and hieroglyphs,

their style and meanings. Every color, shape and even the placement had a meaning... Everything was so thought through, everything counted... Made me think about our life, that everything that we do or refuse to do, counts in some way, nothing is neutral..

Can't wait for another day off, beautiful roses and little bit of magic :)
